The crib

Brookie wanted me to bust out the "crib"  to sleep and I was thought why not. She slept like an angel. One day to 9:30 and the next till 10:00. I thought this phase would end...........

Then kate was feeling left out....ok but you are going to have some major leg cramps in the morning.

Then a couple days ago they wanted to sleep together..i thought this will never last. I went to check on them and they were all snuggled up like bug in a rug.

I know this is absolutely ridiculous. But what can I say..its the best bribe since 7-up in their bottles. yep i used to do that one too...so now thanks to me you feel like a mother of the year. Your WELCOME! I love making people feel good about themselves!

Finally SIX!

Kate is six. Wow really has it been that fast?
We had ezra's family come over on friday for a little party and grandma c. made these adorable "sushi" treats out of rice crispy treats! Is that not the most adorable thing?

When was the last time you got that excited over a present? Oh to be six again.

And kate's plethora of cupcakes. She wanted a raspberry pie but we did not have quite enough raspberries in our garden. But I don't think she noticed.

ON sunday we celebrated kate's birthday at my parents house. But no pictures. But it was just as grand and 10 times louder

We love our kate and I think her dad would be lost with out her. She is his little buddy. Whether it is fishing, boating or running errands she is always ready to go with dad!

First Day

Kate's first day. Yep she finally gets to go to school. We have been waiting for this day for a long time. And I was not even there to wish her off....I know tragic. But my good friend Deanne took her and her adorable little Maggie is in the same class as Kate. Its gonna be a good year.

I was a little worried that Kate would be a little scared because I was not there. But my friend told me she didn't even care. I guess I would tribute that to all the years of her being deprived of pre-school?

Kate and brooke waiting for the bus that never came today.

I know precious huh. Brookie, casen and cooper got blankets and were waiting for their kate to get off the bus.

Getting off the bus. She got a big homecoming and for some reason I couldn't stop smiling either. You would think she was the first kid to ever get off the bus. The best part is the bus stops right by our house. So I guess here we go into the uncharted waters of the public school days.

Hair

Fans I know you have missed me and I personally could not stand looking at myself a second longer in my pastie Hawaii pictures so I'm back. I wish I had some really good excuse but nope just everyday life doing everyday things. So I am not even going to try to catch up but I thought I would start with our sweet Brookie. She decided to giver her self layers. I posted these pics on facebook but I never posted the after picture. Thankfully Aunt Kori fixed it as best she could.

Before

No I did cry I stared in utter disbelief..........

Yep got the top too mom.

oh and at least I only cut one layer on this side.

AFTER

Everyday I still curse her hair. But it always could be worse right?

Another hike, another amazing view.

I tired raw fish. Yes I did eat and yes it was terrible. It was the texture of raw chicken. I still can't believe I did it. ( but when ezra throws a dare on the table..i can't help myself.)

I hate to end on this picture. but I guess I will anyway. We did do snorkeling. And I did see a SHARK. I was not in the water but I saw its dorsal fin in the water. We were just about ready to go jump in the water and someone yelled shark and sure enough I looked in the water and saw it. and it was only in about three feet of water. YIKES. I am sure it was a reef shark but still YIKES!

Anyways a wonderful trip thanks to my in-laws!
The famous 11 mile Kalalau trail along the Na Pali Coast line. But we only did the first 2 miles. and veered off and hiked to a waterfall and did another 2 miles. So a total of 6 miles......yea we were a little tired. But it was totally worth it.

The very end of our hike. Red Mud up to our knees. Call me crazy I but sorta loved it.

The waterfall. We did not even get to swim in this one because it was getting late and we had to book it because I did not want to be hiking in the dark.

along the trail. Na Pali Coast.

Huge bamboo trees.

We barley made it before dark but we got look at this..so worth it.
