teeth

we have been trying to get kate to lay off the cigs but she just couldn't kick it. Finally I told her that her teeth would turn black if she didn't stop. she didn't believe us.....UNTIL NOW. she stopped cold turkey....

If someday my daughter for some reason wants to take up smoking I think these pictures will stomp that desire right out.

she bumped her teeth on some exercise equipment. and well we don't know if they have died yet. but i am already really tired of looking at these gray teeth!

Outing

I writing down my trip to the mall today simply for the sole purpose of one day looking back on this day and laughing..oh I remember those sweet little days. Because right now they are Not so sweet and I am not laughing.

Me and the girls got up and decided to go get Grandma Hartley a mother's day present because it needed to be in the mail asap. So I have brooke cinched down in the stroller and kate at my side. Simple enough- right. We start off in Macy's Department store. Only took two minutes for brook to see that sister is walking and she is not. "I want out." she repeats over and over and louder and louder and begins to flap/ kick arms and legs. I manage to get out of there in 15 min. with a gift. So we still had some shopping left but I knew I had to go and visit the candy machines first. So I got brooke and kate a handful of gum and left. I then go into gymboree and proceed to check-out and can't find my wallet! Yep wallet is gone. Brooke will not get back into her stroller so I said ok brooke you push stroller. So I go back to Macy's that was the last place I used my wallet. I got to get on the elevators. broke. ok so lets use the escalator. Me and brooke get on with the stroller and then as we are going down I realize kate is still at the top and scared to get on. now what? Luckily a nice man helps her on. (actually he was a sleazy looking guy, besides the point.) ok lets look for wallet. nope wallet is not there! oh then it finally dawns on me I used it for the gumball machine! hello hayley. By this time I am pretty rattled. The gumball machine are in the center of the mall. Perfect place to snag a wallet. So we get back on the escalator and head to the machines while I am praying over and over that no one takes my wallet. then a really nice mall lady comes running toward..are you hayley christian. yes! we have your wallet. what would I do with out prayer and for HONEST people!!

SO then I get the kids a drink and some cinnabons..and they still act like craps but who cares I found my wallet. I exit the mall and strap the kids in the car and think ok I am ready to take on one more store. We drive to the store and get out of the car and open the hatch of my car to get out brooke's stroller. WE go in the store and then come out of the store. there was my car right where I left it.... exactly how I left it with the hatch still wide open. Yep genius Hayley managed to lose her wallet, forget her kid at the top of an escalator and leave her car door open all in couple of hours. But right now I have my kids to blame it on. I'm just worried when I don't have kids, who am I going to blame it on?

Anyways I know all you mother's out there have had days like these. And you have had multiple people come up to you and smile and say "I remember those days". You are thinking...oh please help me, I don't want to ever remember these days. But of course we all know what happens -we forget and only remember the sweet wonderful times. OR so I am told and have to KEEP BEING TOLD THAT. right? anyways I know someday I am going to laugh at this day.
Ok ok ok.......a faint smile is already on my lips right now.

ps. if my hair ever starts matching how I feel please be a good friend and let me know. Unlike this poor lady...she did not have good friends.
