The Dresses

ok so this is the last of the Easter pictures...Grandma Christian surprised the girls with Easter dresses and they of course of loved them! Kate loved her dress but then once she realized that Brooke had a pink sweater and she had a green one she was a little out of sorts..but I FORCED her to get over it! Anyways we had great Easter fun!

Easter part 2: Baskets of fun.. AKA : JUNK

Katie is so over joyed about her nail stickers and polish...I was too..they cost me a whole dollar!



Poor little Brookie has some bad hair when she wakes up but she too enjoyed the festivities. She really liked her duck that quacks! We had a great Easter morning with sugar highs joys that were perfect for our 1:oo church!

Easter part 1: Hunting Season

We had an Egg hunt at Grandma's Christians with all the cousins. Lots of Fun!

This picture of Brookie cracks me up because there are tons of eggs around and she decides to pick the hardest one to get too...

You can't really see it ..but she decided that ALL my q-tips need to take a bath in the sink. That took about 45 sec.

maybe 10 sec.

This one is my favorite...I just washed all my towels, hand towels and wash cloths the night before, and skunk here thought it would be fun to dump them all into her bath! But at least she didn't decide she need to take a #2 , that mess has been way to regular at house..no pun

And last but not least eating crayola markers..YUMMY.. so this is what I do pretty much all day..clean up the after math of this little tornado! ( oh and her favorite past time is splashing in the toilet..if she is lucky when mom forgets to shut the bathroom door.) Ya got love it.. but I realized every time I take a picture of the messes it helps me to just smile and not get so uptight!

Onions!

Ok so my dad is an onion farmer. And my sister-law Dedre just took some really awesome fun pictures of my dad planting his onions. Even though he has been doing this for over 40 yrs. he still can't get enough of it! And what is amazing, he is over 60 yrs old and he stills walks up down those fields everyday checking on his prized onions. During my spring break my brothers, sisters and I used to have ride on the back of the onion planter and make sure the seeds were being planted..( so when everyone else was on a fun spring break vacation I was stuck on the back of an onion planter!) I'm over it. Anyways so most of you will be board to death and have no idea what you are looking at but I know my family will love them! Thanks again Dedre! I hope you don't mind I used your cover page..I just loved it!

And finally my source of income in the summer. Yes me and my sisters were on "WEED CONTROL". This is the tractor we drove on endless hot summer days. Even though my brothers claim we just did laps around the farm and that we used more gasoline than chemical .....we put in a lot of long, exhausting hot hours on that thing! That is one thing I don't miss and will not ever miss! (Luckily the beast was not in tip top shape because that meant frequent breakdowns...)

The purple dress that just won't go away! (and pink sparkly shoes)

So this is the purple dress that I have to look at almost everyday. I finally hid this dress about a month ago and I thought Kate had forgotten about it. Well this week she found her long lost purple dress! And I think she is afraid it is going to disappear again because she won't take it off. I have surrendered all my pride. Not only does she love her purple dress and have to wear it everyday, she also insists wearing her pink stinky sparkly ballerina shoes. In the winter she wore her princess snow boots that lit up on the side..yea she was looken' cute! For me, it is just not worth the fight anymore. So almost every night I am washing her dress so she can be a "beautiful ballerina". I guess my next step is some gasoline and matches because I am so no looking at this dress all summer!
