Sturgeon Anyone?

ok so most people know that my husband is in love with anything and everything that has to do with fish....He just went sturgeon fishing and caught 4 fish on the Columbia river. It really kind of freaks me out to think I go wake boarding in that river with those fish..anyways he got to keep one of the fish. And I get to look at it everyday when I open my freezer..yummo! REally I think it is quite disgusting. I really have no interest in fishing, but I promised him that I would go fishing with him the next time he goes..I know -I'm a saint for a wife..so anyways here are a few pics...

This is the fun part where Ezra likes to fry up ol' stanley the sturgeon! Brooke thought it was great!..I was a good sport and tried it while trying not to dry heave.

Hayley,

Thanks is SO HUUUUGGGGEE! WOW! That's almost as tall as Ezra. I would definetly think twice about going in those waters. I like fish though (when properly prepared) so it actually looks good to me. I want to see YOUR fishing pictures next time. :)

Congts on the catch eli loved to catch them. They are bottom feeders so you probably will never see or touch them. Did he go with a guide or some friends. When eli caught them the guide in portland oregon said they have to be cut a certain way because the spinal cord is poisionious. They do taste pretty good, does he like to catch walleye, those are good on the bbq, with i think we used montreal seasing or slice lemons and put a few on the fish with bacon it gives it a smokey lemon taste and wrap in tin foil so it is still moist.

I must say I do like fish, and I usually don't mind swimming with them, but I would have to think twice about swimming with a fish like that. Good Ol' Stanley could take off more than a toe!

like i said on the phone, you should go with him and be so excited about it. i would love to go fishing with my husband. he just never offers and i guess he never goes. someday i guess. we were in costco the other day and i asked if he would buy me a fishing pole. anywho, i do give you props for trying it because i hate to eat fish except halibut. and one more thing, you had a fishing pond at your house, why are you such a hater now of the fish?
