This is the applesauce we canned last week. Kate insisted on being the one that turns the crank. Man canning is such a mess!! I took me forever to clean up my kitchen after this little event.

Country Bumpkins
We picked the pumpkins. And guess what they came from our own patch. Is that bragging or what! I am hoping the green ones ripen up soon..but I kinda think ezra picked them a little early...I just love the white ones (yes, jenni you can have one). kate has been having fun painting them too.

Hayley, those pumpkins looks so good!! The girls will have a blast painting them! I actually like the green ones, so no worries if they don't show up orange!
Hayley, they will turn orange espically when it get cold. I have spray painted pumpkins bronze and silver before to use for thanksgiving or to give halloween some glitz.
way to garden Hayley! :) as for canning I agree it's such a mess. I have some grape juice for you.
Fun Hayley!!! Looks like so much fun! I cant wait to have my own house so I can have a garden!!!
Hey we need to chat sometime soon! I have my Pampered Chef stuff and I heard from a few people that you wanted to have a party! 551-6770 is my cell 380-0076 is my home number. Give me a call!
I can't believe the good little canners that have come out of the state of Washington!! At my age it's worth the trip to the store! No more canning for me. To messy and takes to much time! But you can save some applesauce for me and even a few pumkins too!
Great pumpkins! We made apple sauce last year...and it was a huge mess, but we did it at my mother-in-laws. I highly suggest it (way less clean up!)
I love all your pumpkins, they are so cute and that is really cool that you grew them yourself. Jake is going to be jealous when he gets home and checks out your blog. And I still can't get over the fact that you and Ez can. I wouldn't even know where to start. You guys are awesome. :)
wow hayley! Why have I never seen your garden before?? You're such the good little homemaker! Canning is tough! We need to get together this week to hang those curtains, let me know...
Tuesday would actually work for me. I have to take mason to his pre-op appt. at 3:45 but we should defintetley be done by then. I get out of work @ 11:30, so should we say noon? I'm glad you are starting to feel better. The perks of having a dr. for a husband ;) I asked ezra at church today if you were skipping, he said yeah :)
You amaze me! I have totally enjoyed reading your last few posts. Hope all is well. Call me back sometime! Haha, miss ya!
check you out, growing your own pumpkins and making applesauce, dang girl!
Hayley-we grew pumpkins too. I picked some green because I thought they looked cool, but they are starting to turn orange now, even off the vine. Have yours started changing colors?
Hayley you are so domestic! :) Canning and gardening! Good job. I have to admit, I've never canned anything. It's something I've always wanted to try. Come down to Utah and teach me! I promise I won't make you clean up the mess.
OH MAN, I'm so behind in reading blogs!
LOVE your pumpkins - so cute!!
And happy belated birthday to cute Kate!! How fun that her and Cooper have the same b-day!!
Miss ya!!
